Can I bring pets when traveling to the Philippines?

A: Yes, the Philippine Embassy in Beijing hereby informs passengers to the Philippines of the following requirements and procedures for bringing pets into the country:

1. Import license issued through https://www.intercommerce.com.ph/registrationbai.asp获得菲律宾动物工业局 (BAI);

2. After receiving the official exit health inspection certificate, obtain the animal exit license from the the People's Republic of China (China) Entry-Exit Inspection and Quarantine Bureau.

3. Arrange with ground crew.

4. Use microchip/RFID (radio frequency identification) conforming to ISO standard to force identification of pet dogs or cats

Failure to produce these requirements may result in pets being quarantined upon arrival in the Philippines.

As of June 1, 2018, imported dogs and cats without the necessary identification will be refused entry and returned to the country of origin. All costs incurred will be borne by the importer (source: BAI MC No. 09-2018 quotes DA ADMINISTRATIVE ORDER NO. 24, series of 2004).
