Chinese Embassy in Philippines Announces Latest Epidemic Prevention Requirements for Travelers to China

According to the Chinese Embassy in the Philippines, according to the interim measures for Chinese and foreign personnel to travel after the new coronavirus infection type B issued by the Chinese government on December 27, 2022, passengers to China must undergo nucleic acid testing 48 hours before the trip, and those with negative results can go to China.

In order to ensure the health and safety of international travel, starting from January 17, 2023, airlines flying to China will be responsible for checking the negative nucleic acid test certificate (please print the paper certificate report) within 48 hours before boarding the plane. Please cooperate with the vast number of passengers. The Chinese Customs will conduct spot checks on the certificates when passengers enter the country.

In order to facilitate the preparation of passengers to China, the embassy in the Philippines has compiled the "Guidelines for Epidemic Prevention and Control of Passengers to China" and the requirements for nucleic acid testing certificates (attached). Please read them carefully and follow them so as not to affect the itinerary.

Guidelines for Epidemic Prevention and Control of Travelers Going to China

1. remote test: nucleic acid test shall be carried out within 48 hours before boarding. Only those with negative results can go to China. Those with positive results should go to China after turning negative. Please keep the negative test certificate properly and carry it with you for inspection.

2. customs declaration: after obtaining the negative nucleic acid test result, fill in the "the People's Republic of China exit/entry health declaration card" through wechat applet "customs passenger fingertip service", palm customs APP or web page version (https://htdecl.chinaport.gov.cn).

3. boarding inspection: the airline department will check the negative certificate of nucleic acid test within 48 hours when passengers board the plane. if they cannot show it, boarding is not allowed.

4. on-board epidemic prevention: please wear masks during the flight, do a good job of personal protection, reduce the risk of infection.

5. entry quarantine: after arriving at the port, complete the necessary customs clearance procedures with the customs health declaration code. Customs will spot check the negative certificate of nucleic acid test 48 hours before boarding. If the health declaration is normal and the port routine quarantine is not abnormal, it can enter the society. Persons with abnormal health declaration or symptoms such as fever shall be tested by the customs. If the test result is positive, the home, residence isolation or medical treatment shall be carried out according to the requirements of the notice. If the result is negative, the customs shall implement routine quarantine in accordance with the "Frontier Health and Quarantine Law" and other laws and regulations.

6. territorial epidemic prevention: passengers should strictly abide by the requirements of territorial epidemic prevention and control after entering the country.

Nucleic acid test certification requirements

The 1. contains the name of the inspected person (which should be the same as the name of the travel document used on the flight to China), preferably with the date of birth and the travel document number.

The 2. contains the following test information: test time or report time (at least one within 48 hours before boarding), test method (should be nucleic acid test, no antigen test), test result (should be negative, do not accept "uncertainty" and "gray zone" results), name of testing organization and contact information.

The 3. uses the official language or English of the place where the flight to China takes off, and is inspected by the flight department of the flight to China.

The 4. is a paper report. If the testing organization issues an electronic report, please print it and carry it.
