Philippines opens conditional visa-free entry to Chinese citizens

The Philippine National Tourism Administration issued a notice that the Philippines is open to visa-free entry to Chinese citizens with currently valid US, Japanese, Australian, Canadian or Schengen visas.

In support of the Government's policy of promoting and encouraging the development of tourism, Chinese citizens who wish to visit the Philippines for tourism purposes will be granted visa-free access to the Philippines for an initial authorized stay of no more than seven (7) days:

1. Currently valid US, Japanese, Australian, Canadian or Schengen visas;

2. Passport, which is valid for not less than six (6) months after the scheduled stay;

3. Air tickets to and from or to the next destination;

4. No bad immigration records.

The seven (7) day visa-free entry period can be extended by fourteen (14) days, with a maximum stay of twenty-one (21) days.
