What information do you need to provide to apply for a Philippine student visa?

Studying in the Philippines solely on a tourist visa constitutes a violation of the restrictions on the entry of aliens into the Philippines and may be a ground for their deportation (Commonwealth Act No. 613, section 37[7]).

So in order to prevent deportation from the Philippines, we should get a student visa before we can study in our university.

To change the visa from a tourist visa to a student visa, we must submit the following documents to the Immigration Department:

1. The applicant's notarized formal invitation letter;

2. Notarized general application form (BI form MCL-07-01) filled in by the applicant;

3. The original of the admission notice, which should have a clear mark of the school's official seal, or a notarized official written endorsement issued by the school registrar, to change the identity of the applicant;

4. The original of the Medical Certificate issued by the Quarantine and International Health Supervision Agency or a government medical institution capable of certifying that the applicant is not carrying any dangerous, infectious or malignant disease and is mentally healthy;

5. The original transcript of the last school;

6. The original of the police clearance in the country/region where the school was last attended;

7. The applicant's passport resume, ordinary copies of recent admission and permitted stay;

8. Licensing of the National Intelligence Coordination Agency;

9. Certificate of Entry-Exit Inspection.

After the student visa is approved, we can study in the selected college or university.
