Some Chinese embassies and consulates abroad: biometric visas will be activated

Recently, the Chinese embassies in Mozambique, Dominica, Myanmar, Panama and other embassies announced that they would use biometric visas.

The specific requirements are: applicants applying for a Chinese visa must bring the application materials to the embassy and consulate to collect fingerprints according to the appointment time after submitting the visa application, completing the online filling and appointment.

The following visa applicants can be exempted from fingerprint collection:

(I) persons under 14 years of age or over 70 years of age;

(II) holders of diplomatic passports or those who meet the requirements for the examination and issuance of Chinese diplomatic, official and courteous visas;

(III) person who holds the same passport to apply for a visa at the local Chinese embassy or consulate and has kept his fingerprints within five years;

(IV) ten-finger fingers are incomplete or ten-finger fingerprints cannot be retained.
