Date: 2022-11-17 PageView: 5150

Small partners who want to come to the Philippines and those who want to return to China have paid attention. If you don't want to take away the things you have worked so hard to bring inexplicably by the customs, you must have to learn about the Philippine customs law, what is allowed and what is not allowed, and how much can you bring within the regulations. In order to ensure smooth customs clearance, please read this customs passenger guide carefully and be prepared.

什么东西不能带进菲律宾?菲律宾海关入境指南

According to Articles 2210 and 2212 of the Philippine Customs Law, all people and luggage can be searched at any time of entry and exit, so do not take any chances to try to carry contraband. Of course, it does not rule out that some people who are lucky enough to bring contraband have not been found. After all, so far there is no equipment that can be advanced to know what you have brought.

Let's learn about some of the Philippine Customs Law:

01. Prohibited and Controlled Articles

Illegal import of prohibited articles (such as marijuana, cocaine, other drugs, synthetic drugs, guns; Explosives and their accessories, simulated guns, obscene or immoral articles, fake or fake food or drugs, gambling equipment and equipment, second-hand clothing (except clothing for personal use, but I really didn't figure out how to identify this picture for personal use or commercial use based on my IQ), ivory products); or those that violate intellectual property rights (e. g. DVD,VCD, other imitation products); There are also some conventional products (e. g. radio transceivers, monitoring chemicals; Chemical substances; Chemical parent material) regardless of the quantity, which violates Philippine customs laws and may subject you to criminal penalties and/or fines. Narcotics, chemicals, drugs without a prescription, etc. are controlled items and will be considered illegal once found. According to Philippine law, sand and shellfish on the beach are also not allowed to be taken out of the country without permission. If you go to the island to play, there are vendors selling handicrafts such as large shells on the beach. If you want to take them back to China, you don't need to buy them.

02, agricultural quarantine regulations

Agricultural quarantine restricts the production of animals, fish and plants or the entry of their related by-products (such as meat, eggs, birds, fruits, etc.). The transportation of endangered species and their by-products is also restricted or prohibited by the Philippine Department of Environment and Natural Resources. Similarly, the export of such products or their by-products must be submitted to quarantine personnel to ensure compliance with relevant Philippine regulations and requirements of the destination country. Failure to obtain an import or export license from the Philippine Department of Agriculture and the corresponding sanitary or phytosanitary certificate from the place of origin may result in confiscation, fines or other penalties.

In layman's terms, the Philippines implements animal and plant quarantine, restricting the entry of crops, wild animals and plants and their products. If they are carried, they must be declared, otherwise they will be confiscated and punished. It is strictly prohibited to carry plants, plant products, meat products, birds, snails and other live animals and animal products.

Before, a friend said that some sausages were confiscated by the Philippine customs. In fact, the customs is indeed enforcing the law reasonably, because sausages belong to meat products.

03. Foreign Exchange Control

Without the prior authorization of the Central Bank, it is illegal for any incoming or outgoing passenger to enter or leave the Philippines with more than 10,000 Philippine dollars. Any violation of this rule may result in seizure, civil punishment and criminal prosecution. (BSP Regulation 98-1995)

Those who carry notes, coins, cheques or bills of exchange exceeding 10,000 pesos without filing will be confiscated and punished once found. You can also bring foreign currency equivalent to no more than US $10,000, which can be exchanged in the Philippines. However, many people have tried to bring more than this amount of currency. After all, the customs will not go through your wallet to calculate how much it is. Generally, if it is not too high-profile, the problem will not be too big.

04. Attached luggage for donated purposes

Charity and humanitarian organizations that provide free donations or free medical, dental or any other services to vulnerable groups must cooperate with the Philippine social welfare and development department to carry out customs clearance through overseas Philippine embassies or consulates before departure. Donations must have a donation contract and acceptance contract approved by the Ministry of Finance.

Seeing that this regulation is relatively high, I also wrote it down together. It is also so troublesome to do good deeds.

The following are the restrictions on items such as tobacco and alcohol that everyone is more concerned about:

* 400 cigarettes (about two in ordinary packaging)/50 cigars/250 grams of tobacco (about two tins)

* 2 bottles of wine, no more than 1 liter each

* Non-consumables not exceeding US $200 (such as electrical appliances, jewelry, etc.)

05. Provisions on Carrying Pets

All animals must be accompanied by: a health certificate issued by the veterinarian of the country of departure, certifying that the animal has not been exposed to infectious diseases;

And there is an import license obtained from the Animal Husbandry Bureau.

Cats and dogs must also have a vaccination certificate against rabies (issued by the country of departure).

Pets can be used as luggage checked by passengers, brought into the cabin or as cargo.

So far, I haven't heard of any friends around me who successfully brought pets here, probably because the procedures are really too troublesome. If you really have a pet and hope to bring it with you, you can try it.

06, customs declaration

All arriving passengers must complete a customs declaration (BC Form 117) before entering the country. If you travel as a family, fill in one. Arriving passengers must declare all items purchased or purchased abroad, and indicate the quantity and total purchase price. If you are not sure what to declare, you can consult a customs officer.

Tourists are required to declare the total value of their belongings and fill in the customs declaration form truthfully. If there is any false declaration or failure to declare, once found, they will be punished for violating Philippine customs regulations; personal use during travel may not be declared.

07. Common sense of boarding

Boarding is limited to liquid. Liquid items are best checked together with luggage. Water cannot be brought. You can bring an empty bottle. After entering the customs, you can pick up water in the waiting hall. Dangerous items such as lighters and sabers cannot be brought either. Some exotic flowers in the Philippines are that umbrellas cannot be brought with you! Folding umbrellas are not good either, they must be checked in! (Remembering the picture of the paradise umbrella that followed me for many years when I first returned to China and was handed over by the customs)

EasyGo Yi You International shares another little experience with you. Once when returning to the Philippines to check luggage at the domestic airport, an elder sister approached us and said that she had too much luggage and saw that we had less luggage. She wanted us to help her share the overweight luggage. At that time, I felt that others had difficulties, and I did not object. After a while, she pulled a big bag over. Fortunately, the airport staff saw the whole process. When it was our turn, he kindly reminded me not to help her. She was smuggling. In case there was any contraband in the luggage, we would become scapegoats! After hearing this, she broke out in a cold sweat, so she turned around and declined the elder sister. According to Philippine law, smuggling or carrying drugs will be sentenced to death. In case there is something fishy in her luggage, she will be more wronged than Dou E. Therefore, we must not easily help others with their luggage, because they may be in trouble because of other people's things!
