Philippine AirAsia and Cebu Airlines support the cancellation of "into the Philippines health code"!

According to Philippine media reports, on October 12, Philippine AirAsia and Cebu Pacific Airlines (CEB) supported the call to cancel One Health Pass(OHP), saying they might consider some alternatives.

As we move towards a strong air travel rebound, our passengers deserve a more convenient, reliable and worry-free customer journey without sacrificing the safety net in our daily operations, said AirAsia spokesman Steve Dalisan.

On October 10, Senator Nancy Binay called for the abolition of OHP on the grounds that it had become impractical and inconvenient for many people.

Passengers traveling to the Philippines must register with the OHP, which Binay said is a nuisance for many returning Filipinos and overseas workers because it only adds to the screening program, even if they have been quarantined and fully vaccinated.

The senator said overseas Filipino workers had been complaining that the process of verifying OHP had led to long queues at the country's airports.

Carmina Romero of Cebu Pacific also observed this: usually, at the check-in counter of our international destination, there are a group of passengers who do not know OHP. I am sure they received an email about (OHP registration), but some passengers did not read the notice.

Romero pointed out that OHP registration is not easy for many people, especially foreign tourists.

She said: "It is not easy for them to tick the specific details of their destination in the Philippines, such as which country's capital region and which one's capital region. It is often difficult for foreigners to answer this question."

Foreigners can be allowed to fill in entry cards before landing! On the other hand, the returning Filipino needs to prove that he or she has been fully vaccinated and injected with a booster needle.

At the same time, Dalisan said that AirAsia supports initiatives that can achieve seamless travel between passengers, such as a unified electronic arrival card system, which is customer-friendly and available to arriving passengers.
