Manila announces road closure and diversion plan for the Festival of the Dead, please note ~

The Manila city government will implement road closures and traffic diversions to prepare for thousands of people to go to cemeteries to mourn their deceased relatives on the Day of the Dead.

The following roads near Manila North Cemetery will be closed to vehicular traffic from Tuesday, October 31:

Aurora Boulevard (Dimasalang Road to Rizal Avenue)

Dimasalang Road (Makiling Street to Blumentritt Road)

P. Guevarra Street (from Cavite Street to Aurora Boulevard)

Blumentritt Road (from A. Bonifacio to Guevarra Street)

Retiro Street (Dimasalang Road to Blumentritt Road)

Maceda Street (from Makiling Street to Dimasalang Road).

the public may use the following areas to park their vehicles:

P. Guevarra Street (Blumentritt Road to Aurora Boulevard)

Feliz Huertas Street (Blumentritt Road to Aurora Boulevard)

Oroquieta Street (Blumentritt Road to Aurora Boulevard)

Simoun Street (Dimasalang Road to Mayon Street)

Travelers to La Loma and Oaksayama can use Rizal Avenue and Jose Abad Santos Avenue as entrances or exits, and vice versa.

All vehicles coming from Rizal Avenue and intending to use Blumentritt Road should continue straight on Rizal Avenue to their destination.

At the same time, all trailers or heavy vehicles from A. H. Lacson Avenue and intending to use Dimasalang Road should go directly to Yuseco Street and run to their destination.

All vehicles coming from Dimasalang Road and intending to use Blumentritt Road should turn right to Makiling Street, proceed to the Blumentritt extension and proceed to their destination.
