During the May Day holiday, Hefei Airport plans to take off and land 1454 flights, welcoming 183000 passengers, and the peak single-day passenger flow exceeded 40000. With the full recovery of the outbound tourism market, in addition to the gradual restoration of international routes to Thailand, Hefei Airport also plans to resume and open international tourism routes to Manila in the Philippines, Seoul in South Korea, Jeju Island, and Tokyo in Japan.

Since April 28, Western Airlines has opened a new direct route from Hefei to Bangkok, Thailand. It plans to have 4 flights per week. The direct flights from Hefei to Bangkok are encrypted to 8 flights per week on the basis of the current 4 flights per week of Thai Lion Airlines. It not only meets the needs of the public for outbound travel and Thailand travel, but also provides more destinations or transit destinations for inbound tourists from Thailand or through Thailand.
