NAIA Terminal 2 is planned to be changed to a national terminal

The Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA) is seeking to change Nino Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 2 to a national or domestic dedicated airport to balance the pressure on each terminal and reduce passenger missed flights.

It is reported that the authorities plan to redistribute the terminal after Holy Week. The ultimate goal is to change Terminal 2 into a national terminal, and international flights will be deployed in Terminals 1 and 3.

This is to solve the problem of long queues at the counters of the Immigration Bureau that caused passengers to miss their flight.

At the same time, in the third quarter of this year, the Manila International Airport Authority plans to set up a special immigration channel for Philippine Overseas Workers (OFW), which can also be used by the elderly and the disabled.
