A: This situation is relatively complicated, but with a copy of the first page of the passport and a copy of the visa page, you can apply for a return permit. If your visa has not expired, you can reissue your passport.

Since last year, the United Arab Emirates has opened visa-free access for our citizens holding ordinary passports. A trip to Dubai has become a reality. The number of domestic tourists coming to Dubai has been rising, and the number of accidental passport losses during their stay in Dubai has increased significantly. In this case, our museum usually reissues an entry travel permit for tourists to facilitate their return home, and then reissue an official passport after returning home. However, the owner often does a lot of useless work because he does not understand the processing process, and consumes a lot of time and energy but cannot solve the problem in the fastest time.

In view of this, according to the relevant requirements for the reissuance of Chinese travel documents, and in combination with the disposal process of Dubai Police Department, Immigration Bureau and other departments for foreign tourists who lost their travel documents in Di, our museum has sorted out a more reasonable disposal process for the reference of the vast number of tourists:

Step 1 Once you find that your passport is lost, don't panic. Please inform the tour guide immediately and the travel agency will assist in handling the matter. Free travelers are requested to report the case to the nearest police station (Note: You must go in person and bring your personal ID photo).

In the second step, the staff of the police department will give you a "questionnaire on lost documents" in Arabic (see the figure below). In the middle of the form is the basic information of individuals and passports, and the three spaces below are the procuratorate, the court and the immigration bureau in turn.

Step 3 You need to take this form to go to the above three institutions. The procuratorate and the court mainly investigate whether you are involved in the case in Dubai. If there is no problem, it will be stamped in the corresponding form. Among them, you have to pay 120 dirhams at the immigration office, which will issue an entry and exit record form for you and stamp it in the "Lost Documents Questionnaire.

In the fourth step, you will take the questionnaire back to the police station. after paying 70 dirhams, the police will issue you a passport loss certificate. (See figure below)

Step 5 You come to our museum to apply for a replacement travel permit. When applying, you need to fill in and submit the Application Form for the People's Republic of China Passport/Travel Permit/Return Certificate, 3 photos of personal documents, photocopies of lost passport data pages (if any), photocopies of passport loss certificates, and photocopies of immigration records.

Tip: It usually takes 4-5 working days to reissue a travel permit. In order to save time, tourists can also come to our museum to submit an application as soon as they find the passport missing, and then go to the police station to reissue the missing certificate and other materials and submit them when obtaining the certificate. However, there are two explanations: first, once the passport is lost or stolen, the issuing authority will declare the passport invalid after you apply for reissue, and the relevant countries, domestic public security organs and Interpol will be notified of relevant information and data. Therefore, even if the lost or stolen passport is recovered, it can not continue to use, otherwise you will face the risk of entry and exit blocked. Second, the loss certificate of the police station is a necessary material for you to go through the exit formalities and cannot be omitted.

Step 6: Because your original passport information is recorded in the immigration system when you enter the country, when you get the reissued travel permit, you must go to the branch of the immigration department in Dubai city or T3 terminal of the airport with the original travel permit and passport loss certificate to change the travel document information, otherwise the exit will still be blocked.
