Philippine Dead Day Salary Algorithm

Philippine President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. recently signed a document declaring 1031 a special non-working holiday (Special Non-working Holiday).

"This is to allow us to spend more time with our families and promote the development of local tourism," Cheloy Garafil, head of the press secretary's office, said at the time."

With the issuance of this order, October 29 to November 1 will be a four-day long vacation for some Filipino employees, and October 29 will be Saturday. October 30 is Sunday; October 31 is a special non-working holiday; November 1 is a special non-working holiday.

At the same time, November 2 is a special working day (normal work).

For work on October 31 and November 1, during special non-working holidays, the salary algorithm for employees on that day is as follows:

No work-no salary

Work-Daily Salary x 130%

Overtime-hours worked x hourly rates x 169%

If you encounter a special non-working holiday employee's rest day, the salary algorithm for the day is as follows:

Work-Daily Salary x 150%

Overtime-hours worked x hourly rate x 195%
