It is undeniable that the large-scale cancellation of international flights has effectively controlled the number of imported cases of new coronary pneumonia in China and greatly reduced the pressure on China's epidemic prevention work. In December last year, a price list of Turkish Airlines flying from Istanbul to Guangzhou was forwarded by several ticket agents. The price of its one-way economy class in China exceeded 200,000 yuan, and the business class even exceeded 250,000 yuan.

In 2019, before the outbreak, two flights of business class from London to Shanghai by Turkish Airlines cost only 13,000 yuan. In the first half of 21 years, the Civil Aviation Administration of China issued a "Notice on Further Clarifying Issues Related to International Air Ticket Sales During the Epidemic Period", requiring that during the implementation of the "Five Ones" epidemic prevention and control policy, international air ticket sales should be strengthened to prevent ticket scalping and ticket speculation in intermediate links. But in the actual implementation process is little effect. Under the background of a large area of international flights being blown off, it has become an inevitable trend that the supply of return air tickets exceeds demand, and the relevant regulatory measures can only be a drop in the bucket.

Civil aviation expert Lin Zhijie pointed out that with the increase of international flights, international ticket prices may fall sharply, which will greatly promote passenger entry and exit and international business exchanges. According to a search on the official website of China Southern Airlines, the one-way economy class price including tax for returning to Guangzhou from Los Angeles in October has dropped to 16196 yuan. Last year, the ticket price of this route started at tens of thousands of yuan, and even more than 100,000 yuan.

This also shows that with the gradual recovery of international flights, the price of international air tickets has been reduced, and the phenomenon of "sky-high air tickets" is expected to be improved.
