Notice on Allowing Foreigners with Valid APEC Business Travel Cards and Studying Residence Permits to Enter and Optimizing the Policy of Studying Visa in China

According to relevant domestic arrangements, from 00: 00 Beijing time on August 24, 2022, foreign students holding valid APEC business travel cards and valid study residence permits are allowed to enter China.

From now on, long-term overseas students receiving academic education in China can apply for a study (X1) visa with the "Application Form for Visa for Foreign Students Studying in China" (JW201 or JW202) and the school admission notice or back-to-school certificate.

Family members of foreigners holding valid study (X1) visas or study residence permits (spouses, parents, children under the age of 18, parents of spouses) who intend to live in China (more than 180 days) or visit relatives for a short period of time (not more than 180 days) can apply for a private affairs (S1 or S2) visa.
