The difference between VDO and OTL in Philippines

Many small partners in the Philippines often confuse OTL and VDO and do not know which document they want to handle. Today, I will give you a brief introduction to the difference between the two:

The VDO in the Philippines is what we usually call a Eviction order. The OTL in the Philippines is Order to leave. After the repatriation procedures are completed, it is blacklisted by the Philippine Immigration Bureau. The blacklist will need to be washed next time you come to the Philippines.

Generally, VDO is mostly caused by illegal transfer of landing visa to travel visa. However, most of the cases of handling OTL departure orders are visa-on-arrival overdue, travel visa overdue for more than one year, travel visa staying in the Philippines for more than two years (no exit for two years) and other visa violations.

The validity period of VDO is: 6 months

The validity period of OTL is: 1 month

Whether you are handling VDO or OTL, if your visa problems are not handled in time, your passport will be detained after you go to the airport. You need to go to the Immigration Bureau to handle the visa problems before you can leave the country normally.
