Philippine Immigration Service to Foreigners: Prepare to Present Documents Required for Travel

Due to the holiday peak of Holy Week, the Philippine Immigration Bureau issued a reminder that government workers, minors and foreign tourists must submit additional documents before being allowed to leave the country.

Philippine government officials: must present the authorization required for the head of the respective department to travel abroad.

Unaccompanied Minors: The necessary permits from the Department of Social Welfare and Development should be obtained prior to the flight.

Foreign visitors staying in the Philippines for more than six months: should work at any (BI) immigration office in the country

room to obtain an Exit Permit Certificate (ecc).

Registered aliens with ACR I-Card: can obtain a re-entry permit (SRC) at the other (BI) immigration office or the NAIA one-stop service of the Immigration Department before continuing their flight. Getting the required permits early "will cut the queuing time in half as they do not have to stand in line at a separate immigration cashier's counter".

The Immigration Department similarly urged travelers heading overseas to check in at least three hours before their flight and then head directly to the immigration office to avoid airport congestion.
