Philippines Temporary Work Visa PWP

Project Introduction: Launched in early 2019, it replaced the old SWP work visa (as the labor department did not participate in the joint issuance before 2018). The current Philippine PWP temporary worker visa is jointly introduced by the Philippine Immigration Bureau, the Labor Department, and is a provisional temporary work permit.

Obtaining a PWP work visa is equivalent to your company or organization's employee's legal employment certificate.

Additionally, it is noted that the 9G work visa is currently in the process of being processed; the PWP is a temporary work permit to replace the 9G work visa, but before the 9G work visa is issued, your tourist visa renewal must be processed normally and extended to be considered as having the legal right to temporary employment. A large number of companies/enterprises investing in the Philippines have been forced to permanently close; it is a lack of understanding of this PWP temporary work visa.

For PWP applicants: At least 3 months before the expiration of the PWP temporary worker visa, you must simultaneously apply for a 9G visa or another work visa. Complete the visa application process before the expiration of the PWP visa. The visa must be physically in your possession to be considered valid, legal and for actual employment! Because once the Philippine Immigration Bureau has a record of PWP application, it will clearly know whether you meet the eligibility requirements for formal employment and working.
