Philippines 9a (a-2) Tourist Visa

Project Introduction: The Philippine 9a visa is a short-term visa, divided into two categories: tourist visa is a 9a-2 visa, and business visa is a 9a-1 visa. Although the Philippines will implement a 14 day visa free entry policy for Chinese nationals after January 16, 2026, this visa free policy will not allow them to stay in the Philippines for more than 14 days and cannot be converted into a long-term visa (such as a 9g work visa or other long-term visa). Therefore, if you need to study, work, or start a business in the Philippines, you still need to apply for a Philippine 9a visa first.

A 9a visa is generally valid for 90 days and can be renewed for 30 days before expiration. It allows for a maximum legal stay of 2 years in the Philippines.

Below are the documents required for a single application of a Philippine 9a tourist visa (i.e. 9a-2):

Financial proof: Bank statements (covering the past 3 to 6 months with a balance of 20000 yuan) are generally exported in the latest version and printed in color 1-2 days before the face-to-face interview. 6.
