Philippines 9a (a-1) Business Visa

Project Introduction: The Philippine 9a visa is a short-term visa, divided into two categories: tourist visa is a 9a-2 visa, and business visa is a 9a-1 visa. Although the Philippines will implement a 14 day visa free entry policy for Chinese nationals after January 16, 2026, this visa free policy will not allow them to stay in the Philippines for more than 14 days and cannot be converted into a long-term visa (such as a 9g work visa or other long-term visa). Therefore, if you need to study, work, or start a business in the Philippines, you still need to apply for a Philippine 9a visa first.

A 9a visa is generally valid for 90 days and can be renewed for 30 days before expiration. It allows for a maximum legal stay of 2 years in the Philippines.

Below are the documents required for a single application of a Philippine 9a business visa (i.e. 9a-1):

Required Information: 1. Original passport (provide passport homepage for appointment) 2. English application form (to be filled out on behalf of) front and back printing - print signature 3. 2 2-inch white background photos (from the past 6 months) 35 * 45mm 4. Original ID card and copies of both sides (can be returned after signing) 5. Chinese dispatch letter (in English) with company header, applicant's position, salary amount, employment date, as well as the name and position of the human resources manager and the signature of the leader. ⚠️ Stamp the official seal and note that business travel expenses will be borne by the company 6.
