The Philippine Immigration Bureau urges the public to be vigilant and report false eTravel websites!

According to the report, the spokesperson of the Philippine Immigration Bureau Sandoval said that the bureau received complaints that there are false e-travel websites charging travelers. The official Philippine travel website eTravel service is said to be free.

Sandoval warned that those behind the illegal use of eTravel badges could face charges for violating the Republic Act 10175 or the Cybercrime Prevention Act 2012.

The public can submit complaints online at cicc.gov.ph/report.

It is reported that the Immigration Department has earlier launched an electronic travel system to reduce the paper demand of inbound and outbound passengers.
