The last two days! Philippine Immigration Service Reminds Aliens to Report Year-round

The Philippine Bureau of Immigration (BI) issued a notice reminding foreign citizens in the country to complete the annual registration before March 1 or Wednesday.

Under the Aliens Registration Act of 1950, all aliens on immigrant and non-immigrant visas must report to the Immigration Department for annual registration within the first 60 days of each calendar year.

In addition, foreign refugees and stateless persons must also report to the Immigration Department on a year-round basis.

This year, the Philippine Immigration Bureau transferred the perennial reporting place from its headquarters office in Manila's King City (Intramuros) to two shopping malls, Robinson's Place Manila in Manila and SM Mall of Asia in Pasai. The move is to bring services closer to the population and facilitate them.

In addition to the above two places, other offices except the headquarters office of the Immigration Bureau, including provincial offices, can also handle annual check-in.

The authorities also reminded that foreigners who will register all the year round must first complete the registration of the Immigration Bureau's online registration system at http://e-services.immigration.gov.ph.

In addition, aliens are required to show the original alien card (ACR I-Card) and valid passport on the same day, and pay 300 pesos for annual reporting and 10 pesos for legal investigation.

For the elderly under 14 years old, over 60 years old and aliens with mobility difficulties, their legal guardians or authorized representatives should complete the annual registration on their behalf.

For foreigners who are still abroad, they should go to the Immigration Bureau to complete the annual registration within 30 days of returning to the Philippines.
