Bonifacio Andres Bonifacio Andres is a Filipino military strategist, politician, initiator and one of the main leaders of the Philippine independence movement, and is known as the "Father of the Philippine Revolution".

In 1892, Bonifacio founded the famous Katipnam (Katipunan) or "Kataas-taasang, Kagalang-galangang Katipunan ng mga Anak ng Bayan" revolutionary organization, which was based on the Filipino people (workers and peasants) and aimed to launch an armed uprising to overthrow Spanish colonial rule.

On August 26, 1896, due to the disclosure of the plan, Bonifacio launched an armed uprising in advance and established the Philippine wartime interim government, with himself as chairman.

After the defeat of the war, due to serious conflicts with the conservative leader Emilio Aguinaldo, the Katipunan revolutionary camp split. Aguinaldo then took over the troops and became the first president of the Philippines after independence.

After that, Bonifacio became the leader of the rebellion in the revolutionary government and was arrested by the Aguinaldo government for "treason" for trial. Finally, Bonifacio was executed on May 10, 1897.

Bonifacio was later posthumously awarded as the "Father of the Philippine Revolution", and his birthday on November 30 was designated as "Bonifacio Day" by the Philippine government after independence ".
