Cebu Airlines increases flights in Hong Kong and other places! Philippine Airlines changes some international flight terminals!

According to Philippine media reports, on November 21, Philippine Airlines (PAL) announced that it would transfer some international flight operations from Terminal 2 of Nino Aquino International Airport (NAIA) to Terminal 1.

Its flights to and from the United States, Guam and Doha will begin operating at Terminal 1 on December 1 as the airline prepares for the influx of passengers this holiday season.

However, a PAL spokesman clarified that the terminal transfer of the flight will continue until after December.

"PAL and MIAA (Manila International Airport Authority) are working together to ensure the operational readiness of the terminal."

A former MIAA executive said earlier that NAIA Terminal 2 was originally designed as a domestic airport and was not intended to accommodate immigration authorities and duty-free shops.

The affected flight destinations are Dammam, Dubai, Doha, Riyadh, Toronto, Vancouver, Los Angeles, San Francisco, New York, Honolulu and Guam.

PAL's remaining international routes and all domestic flights will continue to operate at Terminal 2.

Cebu Pacific Airlines Increases Frequency

At the same time, Cebu Pacific Airlines (CEB) announced an increase in its weekly frequency of domestic and international flights due to increasing travel demand.

Beginning on 1 December, weekly flights between Cebu and the following provinces will increase: Iloilo from 21 to 25; Dumagut from 14 to 18; Legaspi and Surigao from 7 to 10; Taclo from 25 to 28; and Pagadian from 10 to 11.

International flights will increase: Brunei, from November 27, 2023 to January 15, 2023, from 2 to 4; Jakarta, from 1 December to 13 December, from 3 to 5, and from 14 December to 31 December 7 flights per week; Seoul, from 1 December, from 7 to 14; Taipei, from 10 December, from 3 to 7; Hong Kong, from December 11 to January 30, it increased from 28 to 32.

CEB's chief commercial officer said in a statement that the airline was pleased to be able to add to those flights as the holidays approached.
