Although many friends usually call it an immigrant visa or ask how to immigrate to such and such a country when they come up, in fact, many countries issue a long-term visa (Permanent Residence visa), that is, they have permanent residence rights, and they do not necessarily need to enter the country's nationality (because once they give up their Chinese nationality, they are difficult to have it again). Holding such a visa can travel to and from the country indefinitely, some countries can also enjoy the policy of overseas Chinese students on long-term visas. What are the specific differences between Singapore, Cambodia, Thailand, Japan and the Philippines?
01. Singapore, Self-employed Immigrants
As the name suggests, use the way to hire yourself to qualify for Singapore immigration. The detailed explanation is that you need to set up your own company in Singapore. You must be one of the shareholders of the company. Then you can obtain Singapore's Employment Pass Employment Permit (EP) and then you can apply for Singapore's Permanent Residence visa (PR visa), that is, permanent residence visa.
02, Cambodia, immigrant visa types
Cambodia should be said to be a real immigrant, because holding a long-term visa from Cambodia, no matter which visa you apply for, you can be naturalized into Cambodia, and you will be given a Cambodian passport.
There are several ways of immigration in Cambodia:
(1) Investment naturalization: foreigners invest in registered companies and meet the legal conditions, qualified to apply for Cambodian nationality.
(2) Intermarriage and naturalization: Marry with Cambodians to obtain a marriage certificate and live together for more than 3 years. It is required to speak simple Cambodian.
(3) Naturalization with accommodation for more than 7 years: living in Cambodia for more than 7 years and never leaving, and having a Cambodian residence permit.
03. Thailand, Thailand Elite Visa
Thailand elite visa (also known as Privilege Card), which gives you the long-term right of abode in Thailand, is a national club membership created by the Thai government to promote the development of Thailand's tourism economy and attract elites from all walks of life in the world through national club membership. Limited sales worldwide, "Thailand Elite Visa" members can enjoy VIP courtesy in the Kingdom of Thailand, and enjoy world-class services and privileges in health, transportation, leisure, vacation and other activities.
Thailand's elite visa can freely choose the number of years, with a minimum of 5 years and a maximum of 20 years. Enjoy privileged service when entering Thailand.
04, Japan, permanent residence visa threshold
Japan is an economically developed country, and it is also a country with a large population. Therefore, it is very restrictive to obtain a long-term Japanese visa and have the right of permanent residence. There are two ways to obtain permanent residence in Japan:
(1) Apply for an ordinary business management visa. After holding the visa for 10 years, you can change to a permanent residence visa in Japan. The advantages of ordinary business management visa are: low threshold, no age, education, language and asset requirements.
(2) A high-level talent management visa. This visa is a scoring mechanism established to attract high net worth people. As long as the requirements are met, you can quickly get your identity. If you score more than 80 points normally, you can change your permanent residence visa for one year.
05, Philippines, permanent residence visa variety
The Philippines and Cambodia can apply for permanent residence visas in many ways. The difference is that the Philippines does not require naturalization.
(1) Philippine Amnesty: also known as Philippine Quota Immigration Visa, sec13. Amnesty visa is a kind of permanent immigration. You can apply for it at the age of 18 or above. There is no restriction on childbirth, no need to cancel the passport of the original country, no language requirement, no need for immigration supervision, and it is directly passed. It is the highest level visa in the Philippines. There are only 50 places per year. And it is the only visa in the Philippines that can apply for naturalization in the Philippines after 10 years of holding a visa.
(2) Philippine small amnesty visa: also known as asrv, its full English name is APECO Special Resident Visa, a permanent residence visa issued by Aurora Special Economic Zone in the Philippines, which is what we often call small amnesty.
(3) Special Investor Residence Visa: also known as sirv, issued by the Immigration Bureau (BI) and approved by the Investment Committee (BOI), is a special non-immigrant visa issued under the 1987 Comprehensive Investment Code. It aims to attract overseas investment into the Philippines, and the holder has the right to live in the Philippines indefinitely and the privilege of multiple entry.
(4) Retired immigrant visa: also known as SSRV, the Philippine government has introduced a very preferential "retired immigrant" policy in order to attract foreign investment: as long as foreigners over 50 years old have a deposit of US $20,000 (refundable) in the bank designated by the Philippine government, they can obtain permanent Philippine immigrant status.
