News from the Chinese Embassy in the Philippines: Notice on Changing Website Domain Names and Remind Personnel in the Philippines to Beware of Fraud

Notice 1:

From April 26, 2022, the domain name of the website of the Chinese Embassy in the Philippines will be changed to http://ph.china-embassy.gov.cn.

Notice 2:

Since last year, the Embassy in the Philippines has issued several announcements reminding Chinese compatriots in the Philippines to prevent criminals from impersonating the embassy to commit telecommunications fraud.

Recently, the embassy in the Philippines once again received relevant reports that someone pretended to be an embassy staff member on the phone and took personal or family information such as the party's name, birthday, and documents to commit fraud on the grounds that the party's documents had not yet been received in the embassy.

In addition, some intermediaries or individuals released information through WeChat and other platforms, claiming to have been authorized by the embassy to charge high fees for consular documents without appointment.

In response to the above situation, the Chinese Embassy in the Philippines once again solemnly reminds everyone to pay attention:
