According to the Chinese Embassy in the Philippines, as an important measure to implement the purpose of "diplomacy for the people" and do practical things for compatriots in the Philippines, the Chinese Embassy in the Philippines officially implemented the online processing function of "Chinese Consul" APP passport/travel permit in August last year, providing more convenient document service for the majority of applicants, saving valuable time and reducing the risk of infection when going out, It has been widely praised.

According to statistics, in the past eight months since its implementation, the Chinese Embassy in the Philippines has successfully applied for passports/travel permits for nearly 9000 compatriots in the Philippines through the APP, effectively meeting everyone's needs in the epidemic situation. At the same time, our library also found some common problems in the examination and issuance work.

In order to further improve the efficiency of accreditation, the following are the matters needing attention in all aspects of APP application:

Fill in 1. information: Please be sure to fill in the information accurately and carefully check the information filled in to avoid wrong name, date of birth, gender, original passport number or missing important information such as the existing filling content on the original passport. If you find any wrong filling or missing, please cancel the order and reapply in time.

Upload of 2. materials: Please upload the materials in strict accordance with the list of APP accreditation regulations published by our library. Uploaded materials and pictures must be clear and complete, especially the original passport information page, identification photos (photos used in passports) and birth certificates issued by the Philippine Statistics Agency (psa) required for newborn photos, otherwise they will not pass the examination.

3. Passport Filling: If there is new filling information when applying for renewal/replacement of a passport, an application order for renewal/replacement of a passport shall be initiated first. After the order is completed and a new passport is issued, another passport filling order shall be initiated.

4. Video Meeting: Please be sure to go online on time for video meeting at the appointment time. If you miss the interview due to your own reasons, you need to queue up again to make an appointment. When the applicant cannot connect to the video meeting, it is recommended to restart the mobile phone or switch the network, or move to the position with better signal.

Payment of 5. fee: after the applicant's APP order status shows "to be prepared", please pay the license fee in the form of "Cash deposit" at any branch of the Philippine National Bank (PNB) according to the consular certificate fee standard and embassy account number of the embassy in the Philippines.

Recently, when an applicant sent the accreditation materials, the bank payment voucher provided did not clearly fill in the applicant's Chinese name and the order number generated by APP, resulting in the embassy being unable to verify the payment information. In addition, the embassy does not accept payment vouchers with the words REPRINT (reprinted).

Please be sure to handle the payment in strict accordance with the requirements. If the applicant applies for a passport/travel permit through the APP at the Consulate General in Namao, Cebu and the Consulate General in Laowo, do not deposit the fee into the account of the Chinese Embassy in the Philippines (Manila).

Mailing of 6. materials: Applicants should mail the accreditation materials to our library through JRS Express Company according to the list of materials stipulated by APP accreditation published by the Chinese Embassy in the Philippines. Please carefully check the materials before mailing them and do not miss them. Recently, some applicants did not provide important materials such as bank payment voucher (the applicant's Chinese name and APP order number must be clearly filled in) and return envelope (the applicant's receiving address must be filled in and postage has been paid) when mailing materials, which seriously affected the progress of accreditation. Please pay attention. At the same time, because the progress of each applicant is different, please do not put the application materials of multiple people in the same pouch, and ensure that each person is mailed separately, "one for each person".

7. other matters: (1) Naming of newborns: For newborns born in the Philippines to apply for a Chinese passport, the Chinese name should use national standards to simplify Chinese characters, and generally should not exceed 4 Chinese characters. If the newborn returns to live in China in the future, please note that the name on the birth paper should be the standard Chinese pinyin corresponding to the Chinese name. It is recommended not to add the mother's surname. If the newborn will live in the Philippines for a long time, the English name can be selected on the birth paper according to local customs, but the name should not be too long.

(II) intentionally repeat the license: if the applicant intentionally conceals the relevant facts while already holding a valid passport/travel permit, repeat the new certificate through APP. Once found out, the embassy will deal with it seriously.
